My fondest memory is when I got to help my Big Mama make this pound cake. I had just got done shucking peas, and I got to pour in the soda water for the cake. I felt like I was really helping. But Big Mama would mix the ingredients herself by hand and then grab the biggest wooden spoon to finish the job. Once the cake goes in the oven you couldn't even think about going into the kitchen until that cake was out the oven again. Big Mama wasn't going to let that cake fall. Then she'd take some of that same soda water and make a glaze to go on top. We couldn't wait to get a slice! It was the most moist cake you'd ever put in your mouth. This is my Big Mamas Pound Cake. 

Some of the best laughs would come from my husband on Saturday mornings. He thought it to be the funniest thing that of all the days of the week this day is the one he would walk in on me making my favorite cream cheese pound cake while making breakfast. My little after breakfast dessert.

Who doesnt love Cookie butter?! Well this rich delight is layered with cookies through the cake, swirls of cookie butter and crumbled on top.
